SPRING RECITAL COSTUME FEES
All Mini Dance Levels - $55 per class
All Other Dance Levels - $80 per class
Boys Dance Costumes will vary depending on what is needed. We sometimes ask them to supply them themselves or we try to combine costumes so that the cost is not too extreme for the families.
*Musical Theater and Acting classes do not have costume fees but will be asked to provide basic clothes that fit the theme of the performance.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Elementary
Tap
Mondays | Ages 8+
Tap is a classical form of dance that can be learned by even the youngest dancer. These classes emphasize rhythm, coordination, speed, style, and clarity of sound and can be incredibly useful for dancers looking to become more diverse and competent in their dancing ability.
Elementary Contemporary
Tuesdays | Ages 8+
Contemporary dance emerged in the 20th century, combining elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet, in an attempt to explore the natural energy and emotions of their bodies. Students will learn to use their bodies in a variety of ways, and they focus on breathing, posture, and emotional state to establish a mind-body connection.
Elementary
Baton
Wednesdays | Ages 8+
Elementary Baton involves beginner and intermediate aspects of Baton Twirling. Provides strong basic fundamentals as well as competitive combinations. Basic dance and flexibility skills are also included in Elementary Baton.
Dress Code: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or shorts, ballet shoes
Students will need a 3/8 inch Star Line Starlet Baton in the length suggested by sizing chart.
Elementary
Ballet
Thursdays | Ages 8+
Ballet has been proven to be beneficial to all dance forms. Students will be trained carefully in classical ballet techniques to develop strength, flexibility, control, coordination, and proper body alignment. While dancers will spend their time working on these technical and physical aspects of ballet, they will also be learning to connect steps with the music to bring artistry to their movements.
Elementary Guitar
Thursdays | Ages 8+
Have you ever watched someone playing guitar and thought, "Wow, I wish I could do that!" Well, now you can! Sign up to learn basic guitar skills--from how to hold it, strumming, finger picking, and playing easy chords. Before you know it, you'll be pickin' and grinnin' to some of your favorite songs!
